Examination Of 2013, Mon Refugee Children Education Centre
This year also have leaving and new coming students as years before. At the end of this year 2013, we held yearly examination on 2,3,4th of this December. The exam was sat for English on 2nd, Science on 3rd, and Mathematics on 4th of December. There were 29 male and 16 female, 45 students sat the exam of this year though all the students are around fifty because some of them are unable to sit the exam due to their school-days. For the Mon subject, it will be sat the exam before Mon Nation Day as usual. In this year, three students passed UPSR exam among the four students who had sat in.

A Day Trip to Sungai Gabai Waterfall
M.R.O Security in charge person, Nai Wengtamah who is going to leave to America on 25th of November 2013, to be remembrance for friends, colleges and students of Mon Refugee School, he himself arranged for a trip to Sungai Gabai waterfall in Hulu Langat, Selangor on 20th of November 2013. There were about fifty people including students, teachers, MRO staff members and his friends In the trip of remembrance. The trip started to leave from Pudu Plaza at 9:00 O'clock in the morning by a bus and a van then came back at 4:00 O'clock in the evening with fully enjoyment.

MRO Held Outreach Program in Alor Setar
There are six of our E.C members went to Alor Setar in four locations (Kebung Kanyin, Naka, Lerbok Marbau, Gurun) on 7th to 10th of November, 2013. On the 8th of November, we met with around ninety of our community member at Kabung Kanyin from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Nai Thy Wonna, the chairman of Mon Refugee Organization explained them about the MRO activities regarding to MRO registration, UNHCR registration and how important of a community members to having united while living in Malaysia. Then, Nai Tun Tun, the health coordinator gave speech about the personal hygiene, the pregnancy and its accident cases. Nai Pon Ji, the assistant secretary talked about the security issues as it’s shown on the leaflet issued from OPI for the things we should do and shouldn’t do when we get arrested, when we are in detention camp and when we are in court. Then, Nai Chan Gakao, the school teacher talked about culture orientation. We also offered mosquito nets, water filters, clothes and mosquito coils and holders to the community members at the end of meeting.
